In Greek mythology, Soteria was regarded as the goddess or spirit of safety.
To a pēpi, their māmā is their goddess of safety.
Born in 2020, Soteria is a multimedia platform that comes to life in the pages of print and online as New Zealand’s most informative independent resource for new and expectant mothers.
Founder, Tracey Warren longed to have an informative, thoughtful guide like Soteria to help her navigate the pregnancies and early years of raising her babies. Alongside her team of working mothers and creatives, Tracey has lovingly created Soteria for all parents to come as they nurture, protect, and raise their little ones.
We produce two free packs – Hey Māmā and Hey Pēpi – for mothers to receive during pregnancy and once their baby is born. Each includes a magazine-style publication alongside exclusive promotions and useful product samples.
Soteria packs are available for mothers through our official partners, including select lead maternity carers, general practitioners, hospitals, and birth centres, as well as from Soteria directly.
Our publications are written strictly in accordance with the recommended guidelines of the Ministry of Health (MOH), the World Health Organisation (WHO), The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), and The New Zealand College of Midwives (NZCOM).
The first publication, Hey Māmā, speaks to pregnancy, labour, birth and first moments. The second, Hey Pēpi, covers postpartum, newborn care, baby development, sleep, nourishment, and wellness.
At Soteria, we are trusted to provide accurate, factual information to mothers on the topics that matter most so she feels informed and empowered.
